We start with a simple premise: Our drivers and vans have to be the best. They can't come in second or third. They must be the best. To make sure that happens, our standards are higher than required by law. Why go to the extra trouble? Because patients aren't packages. They're people we believe should be treated as if they were our own relatives.
And, because we believe patients deserve the highest respect, our drivers wear dress shirts and ties.
Our transport vehicles, Ford E-250 vans, receive the same diligent attention as do our drivers. The vans are smoke-free and specially outfitted for wheelchair and stretcher transfers. They include state-certified lifts, wheelchair and stretcher locks to prevent shifting, first-aid kits, fire extinguishers, GPS, communication radios, climate control, and sound systems to provide music to patients who desire it. You may read more about Palm Beach County's Vehicle for Hire Service Standards, which are also posted in our vans. |
